I’m all about working on a home but our new house sure does require a LOT more work than I ever thought I’d be taking on at this age. I love taking on a project but boy this is a project allright…who in their right mind would take on this much work for fun? I’m finally at the point where I can start thinking about things like Michigan adt and not worry as much about, I don’t know, plumbing. It’s nice to live here without hearing the wind blow through the spaces where windows should be…it’s nice having so much time to work on things but it is hard having a social life when all your nights and weekends are spent working on a house. I never thought of myself as a weekend warrior but you know, sometimes life takes you in a different direction than you planned and when this house fell into my lap I just couldn’t pass it up. Who knew I’d be one of those home improvementpeople?

Tom had ordered pentair pool light for his pool. He will throw a party at the pool area on New Year’s Eve and he wants the pool to be lighted. His family and friends will be coming. Every year he hosted the New Year’s Eve party and each year has a different theme. This year will be a Caribbean inspired theme and the pool side is perfect for the party.

Kevin bought north face jackets for his nephews. The two boys are now grownups and more adventurous. He will be spending time with them this holiday season. He is excited to see them again. He and his nephews love to do camping or trekking. They all love outdoor activities. Kevin had promised them of one day of camping then they all wanted to try fishing. This will be an exciting holiday vacation for Kevin.

My sister’s and brother-in-law went to visit our grandfather (on maternal side). They decided to visit him since his children are away. One is working overseas and the one is in the other district. They bought some food for lunch and they were surprise that our grandfather also prepared something. He said that he is very happy because his son just brought Padron cigars for him as a Christmas present. Of course, he knew that he is not allowed to smoke but he will keep it as a memento.

My mom and I used to visit trade fairs and exhibits here in our place. And we go there for to things, to learn new things about the exhibits and to see and get decorating ideas based on how the exhibit was decorated and landscaped.

One time, we went to a business trade fair in the atrium at the mall. And the very first thing that we noticed is the trade show carpet, that covered the majority of the whole area, and the trade show flooring that outlined the carpet. It was also quite intriguing as we see the different logos of the companies that participated in the said event printed in logo mats and those were stylishly hanged instead of putting it on the floor. Each of the participants were also provided with logo canopy so that guests, like us, would easily know the company or business establishment that each participant is participating.

From that exhibit alone, my mom and I had learned a lot of decorating ideas. We didn’t really expect that things like mats and carpets could be personalized and there are really businesses that had such kind of expertise. So far, I could say that it was the exhibit where I enjoyed the decors more than the exhibit itself.

One of my officemates invited me to join a short term course in making beaded jewelry this coming weekend. She said that after the course at least I will learn how to make my own beautiful beaded jewelry. I told her okay, I’ll go with her. I love making crafts already ever since I could remember especially when it comes to jewelry, even though I don’t know the exact thing to do. Now is my chance to learn jewelry making techniques.

I saw my best friend from high school this afternoon while I was strolling around the mall. It’s been five years since we last saw each other. We have a long chat in one of the restaurant in the mall. I asked her what keeps her busy these days and she said that she’s busy with the new restaurant that her parents are going to open in their province. In fact she’s looking for restaurant POS systems for their new restaurant.
