The big bell whose bongs sound the hour at the Houses of Parliament marked its 150th anniversary of its creation. It was cast on April 10, 1858 at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London. However it took another year before it first rang. The tower is known as Big Ben although it actually means the Great Bell inside which is one of London¢s famous landmark. Happy Birthday Big Ben!
