Earthquake Survival by a Cat

On September 21, 1999 an earthquake occurred in Taiwan. The quake registered 7.6 on the Richter scale with an estimated death toll of 2,400 people. In December 1999, 80 days after the earthquake, a cat was discovered alive after being trapper in a collapsed building in Taiwan . The cat was barely breathing and dehydrated. It was rushed to a veterinary hospital where it made a full recovery.
