Preserving Asia’s Coral Triangle

The sprawling Asia’s Coral Triangle which consists of the waters of Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands and East Timor is said to have the highest marine biodiversity in the world. However, excessive fishing using dynamites has destroyed the coral reefs. The rise in sea levels, ocean temperature and water acidity due to climate change hasten the damage. So the Asian Development Bank together with a financial agency will fund the activity of preserving the ecosystem in the coral triangle. Hurrah!
