International Wetland Day

The International Wetland Day was conceptualized last February 1971, during the Convention on Wetlands in the Iranian City of Ramsar on the shores of Caspian Sea. Its purpose is to undertake actions at raising public awareness of wetland values and benefits. It was celebrated for the first time in 1997
. As of to date, Wetland International continues their advocacy for the protection of Water, Environment and Life.
