My grocery excursions

Grocery shopping is one of those tasks that just has to be done and I actually look forward to it because I enjoy creating new dishes for my family. Every two weeks I do the main shopping for the house because payday is bi monthly. During the time between shopping trips I adjust the shopping list as necessary so that I don't forget anything while at the store. Having a list is also nice to try to stay within our budget; I am sometimes an impulse shopper.

There are also the small shopping trips to get the essentials, such as bread, milk and eggs, which spoil faster than most of the other groceries. We also sometimes consume those faster. There are also some weeks when I need to buy more soda or chips in between the normal every two week shopping trip because of gatherings with friends that we host in our home.

For each shopping excursion, I make sure I have my list, money, and recyclable cloth bags to carry the groceries; I set our ADT security alarm and my daughter and I are off to the store. My daughter is a great help is putting items into the cart and as a reward we often stop for a snack or lunch before taking the groceries home.
