Black Friday Shopping

I can't wait until Thanksgiving weekend!

It's tradition in our family that everyone gathers at my mother's house to help prepare the Thanksgiving meal. After our dinner and once everything's cleaned up, we sit around together and make plans for our Black Friday shopping. This year, most of the ads were "leaked" to the internet quite early, so we all already have a good idea of what we will be after.

Collectively, we pool the three most popular stores that we all want to go shopping at. We view the ads together and each write down anything important from the main ad that we'd like to get, how much it is, if we would be happy to substitute, and so forth. Once that's done, we figure out which one of us will be going to what store.

We then comprise a list of the items that we want as a collective from what store, just as we did with the first list, and disperse the list to whoever is going to be in charge of the shopping from that store. We then shell out the money appropriately. We get up at about 3:30 the next morning, since we live so far away from any bigger towns, get ready to go, and head out to do the shopping. This way we can hit more than one store.
