Deep Sea Fishing, then and now.

Posted by Brant Robertson

I am one of those people who loves the ocean. I love the smell of it, the look of it and the feel of a rolling deck beneath my feet. When I was younger, I lived on a medium sized yacht with my Father and his third wife and we always went out into the deep water every weekend just to put up the sails and throw a few lines trolling behind the boat.

Our boat was a very slow motor sailor so we never had to worry about loosing a line due to speed. Mostly we would catch Albacore and Mackerel but every once in a while we would get a small 2 to 3 foot leopard shark, and that was always a treat.

Today, Im not so lucky as my father and I have to rent a boat if I want to go out into the ocean. Since I live alone, of course, I need to have a good security system so I can set my securitychoice alarm before I go fishing. That way I can spend all weekend out on the waves enjoying the ocean air and bring home a nice haul of good sized ocean fish once or twice a month.
