How I Use My DVR
This guest post from Hong Alexander
A DVR is not a toy. You do not use your DVR to play with in the shower, or as a replacement for your wife. A DVR is not a paperweight, and it is certainly not something you use for target practice. A DVR is a wonderful new technology that we use to record our favorite shows, and I use my DVR all the time, even though I never leave the house. This is because I hate commercials with a passion, and will never watch them simply on principle.
With a DVR, you just record your TV show or sporting event, then watch it the next day or an hour later. It is important to never watch anything live, because this means having to watch a commercial, and commercials have this way of insidiously entering your brain and telling you to consume goods you don't need. So I record in advance and then fast forward these parts, saving me money, time and brain manipulation. Recording your favorite series is easy too. Just press the record button twice, and a single record will now record every time that show airs, skipping reruns through the magic of technology. DVR services can be obtained by upgrading your standard receiver through your satellite TV provider. If not for a DVR, I wouldn't enjoy my satellite TV from www.tvbydirect.com/business-commercial-satellite-tv-deals/ nearly as much as I do.
